Hello The Weekend wrap for the Miss Chrysler Jeep

All that stood between the Miss Chrysler Jeep and a podium finish at the Indiana Governor's Cup was about the length of a football field. Instead driver Jimmy King found himself in a very familiar place----on the wrong end of a tow rope. The season opener of the 2009 ABRA season in Madison started out slow for the Go3 Racing Team on Friday with a blown engine.

Finally qualified on Saturday, and with two 2nd place and one 1st place heat finishes, the Miss Chrysler Jeep seemed poised for a great start to the season for the Ed Cooper led team.

Hydroplanes Ready For Detroit River, 100th Running Of Gold Cup

DETROIT---The Detroit River will once again be the site for the 100th running of the oldest motorsports trophy still in competition-the 2009 Detroit Chrysler Jeep Superstores APBA Gold Cup. An American Boat Racing Association (ABRA) fleet of 11 boats are expected to be in the pits for the competition that begins with qualifying Friday, July 10 with racing on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12. In 1990, the City of Detroit became the permanent home of the Gold Cup race.
