Stay tuned for the 2008 HydroNation Awards. They will be 'non-typical' awards, and the list will be posted soon. Once posted, nominations will be accepted!
Also, there will be 2 photos contests open to everyone!
- The first will be the Best of 2008!
- The second will be 'Old School' any up to and including 1999!
I'm also considering a 'Best of Each Decade' ie 1970 to 1979
All classes of hydroplane racing are eligible for either photo contest. More details to come.
As always, your input is 'mandatory' LOL well, very much appreciated! I look forward to hearing from everyone.
One last thing, I'm still looking for individuals to contribute stories and photos.

GP Summer Nationals
The following is a note from Rick and Shawn Bridgeman they asked if I would post for them on HydroNation. They are both world class racers with big hearts of gold. Congratulations to Marty Wolfe and GP-93 race team for winning summer nationals.

"CONGRATULATIONS TO MARTY WOLFE AND THE GP 93 TEAM FOR A GREAT FINAL HEAT ON SATURDAY, IT WAS FUN TO WATCH. IT'S TOO BAD THAT A RACE OF THIS CALIBUR COULD NOT HAVE BEEN DECIDED ON THE RACE COURSE. 30 MINUTES AFTER THE CHECKERED FLAG I WAS INFORMED DUE TO A REFEREE'S DECISION THE OUTCOME WOULD BE CHANGED AND THE VICTORY WOULD BE AWARDED TO THE 2ND PLACE BOAT BUT I GUESS THAT IS BOAT RACING. AGAIN CONGRATULATIONS MARTY FOR THE 2008 GP SUMMER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, YOU DROVE A GREAT RACE.
