Madison Regatta Makes Money
The 2009 Madison Regatta ( http://madisonregatta.com ) did something impressive this year. In these tough economic times, they made a profit for their
event July 4th weekend. The historic town on the Ohio River hasn't had a title sponsor in years, but the community pride in holding an Unlimited
hydroplane race for the 59 previous years is strong as ever. At one time, the regatta was close to be done. But, the folks of Madison came together
and now this is one of the most financially secure sites on the ABRA ( http://abrahydroplanes.com ) circuit. Year number 60 is off to a great start.
